Ashouri Family

Not a whole lot is known to me about the Ashouri family history, but I do know that we are scattered all over the Middle East. I’ve seen Ashouris from Iran all the way to Jordan and even in the United Arab Emirates. The most, to my knowledge, are currently in Syria. I’m not exactly sure how they got there, but I heard our roots began in Iran.

I wish there was more to write in this section regarding the history of the Ashouri family, but I’m going to keep this short and hopefully build it up over time. I figured it might be cool to actually map out our family and try to trace how many of us are related, but that’s a project that I probably cannot accomplish on my own at the moment. In the future, however, I promise to spend some time making this a useful site for Ashouris all over the world.

There is currently an Ashouri group on Facebook. Privacy is enabled on the group… meaning you need to join to view the content, but there are currently 40 Ashouri members. No one is active, but you do have the opportunity to communicate and interact with other Ashouri family members. If you do join, welcome yourself and let others know! I think Facebook is a fascinating way to interact with people that you would have never imagined meeting without this type of medium.
